Congratulations to Wiley’s Project Manager Cadet, Tom Gibson who received the Sir Manuel Hornibrook Medallion at a Queensland AIB ceremony last week. Recipients of this award have made significant contributions to the Queensland building and construction industry whilst having completed their final year at university.
This award recognizes high academic achievement for students, that also display vocational or trade background, and demonstrate an excelling career path to complement their successful studies.
“In completing my studies at QUT, whilst working at Wiley, I have been able to experience many facets of the construction industry and have learnt a great deal. It is an honour to receive this award in recognition of not only my academic achievements but also my efforts at Wiley and in the community with my cricket coaching. Thanks to the Queensland Chapter of the AIB, the judges of the award and all my family, friends and mentors who have all played a part in this award” said award recipient, Tom Gibson.
