Wiley has been hard at work on site in Warwick, regional Queensland, building John Dee’s new Regional Cold Store facility. The site has progressed quickly with the completion of the structural steel and roof achieved as early project milestones. The insulated panel is in progress and nearing completion.
John Dee is a family-owned Australian company with four generations of experience in producing and selling outstanding beef products, enjoyed by thousands of customers nationwide and around the world.
John Dee engaged Wiley to complete the design and delivery for the Regional Cold Store and ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) facility. The facility is set to enable John Dee to reduce operational costs, expand storage capacity, increase product sorting capabilities and secure the future of the local, family-owned business.
John Dee CEO, Warren Stiff said, “We have worked closely with Wiley staff from concept through to final design. Through the whole process the engagement from the Wiley team has been second to none and to be in the later stages of the build is an exciting time for all involved. We now look forward to the commissioning stage and celebrating the successful implementation of our Regional Cold Store and ASRS into our production facility.”
Wiley CEO Robert Barron said, “It’s fantastic when you see a project start to come together. We work with our clients for years while they plan their facilities and watching them come to life and gain shape is gold.”
“We are thankful to all of our local partners on site and are looking forward to the commencement of the Dematic installation of the ASRS from next week,” he said.
The project is due for completion mid-2021.
