A project to transform Mount Ommaney Special School
A recent sod-turning ceremony marked the official start of an exciting new project at Mount Ommaney Special School (MOSS). The ceremony marked the beginning of construction of a new multi-purpose hall, two-storey learning centre and upgraded car park, to expand MOSS and support the school’s growing community. Wiley was awarded the contract midway through 2026, to design and deliver these incredible new facilities.
For a school built around the motto ‘every learner, every way, every day,’ this project is set to transform how students learn, play, grow and thrive.
Celebrating together
Joining the celebration were:
- The Honourable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and the Arts
- Jess Pugh MP, Member for Mount Ommaney
- Department of Education representatives
- Mount Ommaney staff, students and families
- Our project partners, Capworks and Open Architecture, plus Wiley project team members
What teamwork looks like.
Looking out over a sea of orange Wiley safety vests, the Minister thanked the project partners for their dedication.

Wiley’s Managing Director, Suzie Wiley echoed this sentiment saying it takes all parties working together – the school, our team and project partners – to plan and adapt to the school’s needs each day.

Building the future together.
Wiley is thrilled to deliver this project alongside the Department of Education, Capworks Management, Open Architecture Studio, Group 6 Engineers, Maven, Jeremy Ferrier, Bartley Burns and Multitech Solutions.
Together we are proudly building this extraordinary learning environment for MOSS.
